Stefan Kriegel, German national, was born in 1966. He studied law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany from 1989 till 1996. During his studies he focused on in European Community law and temporarily studied at the Facility of Law at the University of Salzburg, Austria. After his graduation in 1996 lawyer apprenticeship in Nuermberg from 1996 till 1998 he passed the Fachanwaltsexamen in tax and labor law. From 2000 until March 2006 he worked as a lawyer for the German law-firm Rödl & Partner. He was employed in the real estate consultancy department preparing and conducting real estate due diligences and advising municipals and federal states in East Germany. During this time he published articles in real estate journals about due diligence, real estate and the challenges of municipal developers. Later he transferred to the auditing and business consultancy department. There he advised major German real estate financial services and members of the mutual and investment fund industry in long term consultancies with regard to real estate, company and tax law and in the field of accounting and preparation of balance sheets under German law (HGB) and IFRS. Additionally he assisted in preparing audit reports under German law and IFRS. In April 2006 he joined Meyer-Reumann Legal Consultancy in Dubai.
